House of Elrond

There is a moment when the Fellowship is passing through Moria where Frodo senses something and Gandalf responds, “Yes, it’s Gollum, here’s been following us for quite some time.”

The question I’ve always had is: How long?

Answer: ALWAYS

If you notice, I painted Gollum under the bridge, sitting, waiting, reaching, as the Ring crosses the bridge.

He never stops.

I’ve been playing with this piece for about 12 years now, building up the layers and making it pop out of the canvas.

Every time, Every Layer, I think I am finally bringing the painting in for a landing and call it done, a new section opens up that I have to explore.

Just finished the 3rd layer with 3-4 to go.
Exploring all the shades of GREEN in my palette next and then play with the light and shadow, detailing, and finishing.
